A little more
light in
everyday life.

Amitalux builds thoughtful apps for healthier, calmer, more considered living — designed for the person on the other side of the screen, made for the App Store.

The name

Amita, Sanskrit for boundless. Lux, Latin for light. Together: the kind of work that brightens what it touches.

amita
Sanskrit
boundless, without measure
+
lux
Latin
light, illumination

We build software the way good things are made — slowly, carefully, and with the person on the other side in mind.

Most apps want more of your attention. We're trying to make ones that give you something back: a calmer morning, a steadier rhythm, a healthier habit that actually sticks.

That means choosing depth over feature bloat. It means treating UX as care, not conversion. And it means proving, quietly, that founders don't need traditional engineering pedigrees to ship products people are glad to have on their home screen.

Cross-platform mobile, modern frontend frameworks, AI woven in where it earns its keep — built from the ground up, one considered release at a time.

What we're building.

A small portfolio, growing deliberately. Each product gets the time it needs.

Quieter screens.

A second app, still taking shape.

Early exploration on a companion to our first app — focused on the parts of daily life that wellness apps usually leave out. We're keeping the details under wraps until it's worth talking about. The bar is the same: an app that earns its place on your home screen, then mostly gets out of your way.

in the works

A small set of things, done well.

We don't take everything that walks in. The work we say yes to gets our full attention.

i.

Consumer apps, end to end

From the question we're trying to answer through to a shipped App Store release. React Native, modern frontend frameworks, considered UX over feature bloat — apps designed to last on the home screen.

ii.

AI woven in, quietly

Coaching, personalization, and assistive features built in where they earn their keep — not bolted on for the press release. The person using the app shouldn't have to think about the model.

iii.

Wellness & everyday rhythm

Our focus: software that supports healthier living — fitness, meals, habits, mindfulness — built around the idea that the best app for your day is the one that mostly gets out of the way.

A few things we hold to.

  1. Depth before breadth.

One product at full attention beats five at half. We'd rather ship a feature that changes a person's morning than ten that don't change anything.

  2. The user is not a metric.

We measure what matters, but we design for the person — not the dashboard. If a decision is good for retention and bad for the user, retention is wrong.

  3. Plain language, plain interfaces.

No jargon, no dark patterns, no friction for friction's sake. If a feature can't be explained simply, it isn't finished.

  4. Founders don't need a pedigree.

Amitalux is proof that thoughtful product work doesn't require a traditional engineering background. It requires care, taste, and the patience to keep learning.
